The Toledo tech community kicked off a new chapter in 2024
A look back at the community relaunch that brought Toledo-area developers, designers, and technology groups together.
At the end of 2023, local organizers began preparing a new season of technology events for the Toledo region. The goal was straightforward: make it easier for people who build, design, and explore technology to learn together and meet one another.
GDG Toledo joined a broader network of local communities, including Toledo Web Professionals and WordPress Toledo, that had already spent years creating talks, workshops, mixers, and opportunities to connect.
A community for every experience level
The relaunch was designed for more than one kind of technologist. Beginners, experienced engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, students, and curious community members were all invited to participate.
That approach still guides GDG Toledo today: practical learning, useful conversations, and welcoming events for the people building technology in and around Toledo.
